SWING SUMMARY

The K-Vest produces a summary that includes highlights of pelvis and upper body angles at key positions in your swing. During our swing analysis review with you, we examine how the rotation of your lower body and upper body generates these positions. We incorporate video capture to relate the K-Vest results with swing traits that you can see in a video clip. In combination with additional K-Vest data and TPI functional movement tests, the results provide a detailed picture of how your swing biomechanics and range of motion influence the way you swing a club. Incorporation of launch monitor data gives you a comprehensive view of the interaction of swing and club performance.

Here are excerpts from two summaries of quite different swings that we have evaluated recently. We see the angles of the forward bend and side bend of pelvis and upper body at three positions in the swing. Comparison to the ranges for these positions found in professional players on tour allow you to compare your swing to the most efficient swings in golf. Numbers (and illustration) in green are within range (shown by 2/3 of pro players) and numbers (and illustration) in red are out of range. When we see red numbers we look deeper into your swing mechanics to understand what caused the variations.

We can target any of these positions for followup biofeedback training to help you learn the feel of the optimum position in your swing. Lessons from an instructor or coach become more understandable and learning is accelerated.

The tour ranges are derived from thousands of measurements of professional players to learn what works for the most successful swings in golf. There is no abstract theory here, no assumptions to be made, no challenges being offered, no swing style being advocated. If your angles and speeds fall outside of these ranges, then we think it's worth learning what contributes to the result you see.
